“Boom for Whom?”
Council of Canadians Gathers in Edmonton to Bust the Myths of Continental Integration
Edmonton - The Council of Canadians is holding its 23rd Annual General Meeting in Edmonton this weekend, bringing together members and concerned citizens from across the continent to challenge the myths of continental energy integration. This year’s gathering will build on the demand for no new tar sands approvals, with panels, workshops, and a rally and march to the Alberta Legislature.
Founded in 1985, the Council of Canadians is Canada’s largest citizens’ organization, with members and chapters across the country. The Council works to protect Canadian independence by promoting progressive policies on fair trade, clean water, energy security, public health care, and other issues of social and economic concern to Canadians.
